Activities at IMS 2011 Balloon Race
The weather was not the best for flying balloons nor was the weather best for solar vehicle racing. Several universities brought cars to race. Despite the heavy overcast the vehicles were able to race. Pictures of a few of the vehicles follow.
Electric Race Car
On the official track two electric race cars were to be tested. One car failed to run. Two pictures were taken of the electric car as it crossed the finish line. The aperture, shutter speed, and film speed was not set to show motion. The official track photographer shared his pictures which reflected the motion or speed. The car was traveling around 100 mph. Pictures follow.
